Insurance Defense Grounded In Integrity, Quality And Dedication
Biography
Pete started this firm in 1995 with former Navy JAG officer Mike Neal. Both had practiced at a well established insurance defense firm and started what is now Sewell & Neal in hopes of creating a law firm that focused on clients and the carriers protecting them. On the first day the firm was open, Pete started a jury trial. Over the course of his career, he has tried over 75 cases to jury. In that same time, Pete has helped groom a group of other trial lawyers who are routinely persuading juries successfully.
Pete’s experience includes all aspects of insurance defense, but he now focuses on complicated insurance coverage matters. Pete has tried multiple coverage cases to juries, and he has had multiple recent wins on summary judgment and appeal. He is widely considered one of the preeminent insurance coverage attorneys in Kentucky. He holds an AV Rating with Martindale-Hubbell and has been voted as one of Louisville’s top construction lawyers in recent years.
